Frequently asked questions

Private lessons are priced to reflect the one on one attention you will receive from your instructor. You can tailor them to your specific goals or let your instructor choose how to best help you. Feel free to get in touch if you’d like specific prices and package options!

Taking private lessons is the most efficient way to learn to dance. You can progress quickly because you’ll have personal attention and can spend time on the aspects of dance you need to work on. However, group classes are a budget friendly way to learn new patterns, get used to dancing with a partner, and try out new dances.

The amount of lessons you need depends entirely on your goals. Like any kind of physical activity, it takes time to feel comfortable and coordinated. After your first lesson, you’ll have a better idea of what to expect and your instructor can help you build your own timeline. It only takes one lesson to start dancing!

You don’t need a partner for private dance lessons or for group classes. We encourage switching partners in group classes so you’ll always have a chance to practice. And for private lessons, your instructor will dance as your partner.

Students wear anything from business casual to workout clothes. There’s no dress code as long as you’re comfortable and can move easily!
